One Fast Move or I’m Gone

The documentary, “One Fast Move or I’m Gone:  Kerouac’s Big Sur,” takes a revelatory look into a pivotal six-week period in Jack Kerouac’s enigmatic life. It’s the revealing true story of Kerouac’s last gasp at spiritual, emotional and physical deliverance from alcoholism and madness; a personal and professional project of sorts that goes terribly wrong. This intensely personal experience was brilliantly and honestly translated into the prose that became his novel, “Big Sur.” It was  Kerouac’s last major work that many critics and literary scholars site as his most intimate and introspective.  The film takes the audience along “with Jack” on a visceral ride of raw emotions and dramatic events the book is based on.
